Short thought
What kind of world must we live in when the news can say for it's top story, "Is the new Bond movie as good as the old?" and then go, and now in other news, A Marajuana producer's house just exploded injuring many. Or even worse go "This is a breaking news flash. Brittany Spears just broke up with (insert name of whatever person it was this time)" and then later go on to say about 15 munutes later. "And in other news, A sex offender has just been caught for what may have been over 70 victems under the age of 12." At first it was bad enough that the world is messed up enough to have these problems, but now they happen so often that people find it more important to find out about the secret lives of their favourite celebs more than if their neighbour could be a dangerous criminal???? Why is this the way it is?

Celebrities are North America's royalty. People want to know all the "dirt". Overall, bad news sells better than good news. However, hearing too much of it can make us pessimistic and give us an unbalanced view of the world.
